Arbour 220 Suspension Lamp
Arbour 220 Suspension Lamp by Ross Gardam is a sculptural light in solid timber and anodised aluminium, defined by material clarity and refined precision.
Arbour presents a continuous linear form, shaped from solid timber through advanced 5-axis machining. Two flowing curves trace and envelop the body, creating a soft, downward glow through its precision-milled shell. The result is a considered balance of geometry and warmthideal for contemplative environments such as reading rooms, architectural dining areas, or calm commercial interiors. The contrast between the structured aluminium accents and organic timber grain deepens its spatial resonance, enriching both intimate and expansive settings with subtle rhythm and quiet focus.
Developed in Melbourne, Arbour reflects Ross Gardams design ethos of merging traditional craftsmanship with modern production. The piece represents a new chapter in timber lighting, combining artisanal sensitivity with industrial innovation. Gardams work, informed by a distinctly Australian perspective, continues to gain international recognition for its restrained yet expressive material language, positioning his studio at the forefront of contemporary design.
