A810 Floor Lamp – Brass

A810 is a special floor lamp designed by the famous designer Alvar Aalto in 1959 and produced by the prestigious brand Artek. Base and pedestal made of steel, covered in leather. Made in Finland.

This popular floor lamp features two hand-riveted lampshades, each made of delicate lacquered metal strips. Together they present a striking combination of lines and curves and allow for an interesting interplay of direct and indirect light. The pedestal is finished in hand-sewn black leather, while the handle has a polished brass collar. The floor lamp A810 was created by Alvar Aalto in 1959 for the National Pensions Institute, Helsinki.
