Calipso Suspension Lamp

Calipso is a suspension lamp designed by Neil Poulton for Artemis, made Tecnopolymer.

Calipso has a design comes to life thanks to the calculation of an algorithm that starts from a photo of the moon. The result is a fractal shape, an impure geometry that displays the irregular beauty of nature. Lots of small circles with varying diameters are arranged side by side with precision to produce an organic set: it is a highly emotional lighting object that joins together optical and aesthetic intelligence, yet with a unique expressiveness.
