Chrome plated brass fittings can be utilized in low pressure applications for water oil and gas (W.O.G.). Fittings have pressure ratings of 125 psi for steam and 200 for W.O.G. and meet ANSI B 1.20.1 and ANSI B 16.15. They offer superior corrosion resistance and the material’s relative softness allows for easy installation and a tight seal. Chrome plated brass fittings are often utilized because they are easy to clean, do not attract dirt and bacteria, and maintain a shiny finish. These fittings contain lead and are not allowed by federal law to be installed for potable water use in the U.S.A. and its territories.
