Duii Table Lamp

Duii is a table lamp designed by Diesel Team, made of molded glass, aluminum, steel and painted metal.

It ‘a construction game? A comic book character? A small domestic robot? Duii surprises and entertains for his personality, starting with the name that recalls the sound of a cute nephews of Donald Duck. The base, of important thickness, refers to the large leg of a duck and can act as a comfortable support for small objects. The basis of this project is the idea of being able to assemble and disassemble the component parts, a feature typical of the objects that belong to the world an industrial mechanic, while maintaining a very playful mood. The arm, consists of four metal elements, held together by wing nuts, is articulated just as the pieces of Meccano. The diffuser in pressed glass and metal inspired by the iconic shape of the headlights of a car history, but also reminds the helmet of a worker, or a shaved head with a single central ridge, like the Mohican, the historic symbol of the Diesel its meaning and rebellious punk. The lighting is directed and focused on the plane on which the lamp, which fits perfect in a home-style young, on a table, a console table or bedside table. Duii is noted for his strong personality in two exclusive color versions: yellow, a nod to the Working Class; gray, which emphasizes more the industrial mood.
