Nebulae Vertical 12 Chandelier by Ross Gardam, made from anodised aluminium and glass in a vertically oriented composition.

Defined by a column of structured geometry and fluid transparency, the Nebulae Vertical 12 plays with layered light and material contrast. The anodised aluminium frames provide a linear rhythm, while each glass disc introduces subtle variation in tone and reflection. This interplay creates a soft, ambient glow that shifts with perspective and time of day. Designed for interiors with generous vertical spacesuch as stairwells, double-height living areas, lobbies, or architectural voidsthe chandelier brings visual continuity between levels while maintaining a distinct sculptural presence. Its modularity and range of glass finishes support flexible placement and compositional balance.

Ross Gardam established his Melbourne studio with a focus on merging traditional craftsmanship and modern manufacturing. His work often references natural phenomena and explores how form and light influence perception. The Nebulae collection, named after cosmic cloud formations, captures this sensibility through its emphasis on diffusion and repetition. It reflects influences from mid-century minimalism while remaining rooted in contemporary design values. Recognised for its refined construction and atmospheric qualities, the series has contributed to Gardams international reputation and is included in notable exhibitions and design showcases globally.
