Penelope PN.1001/NR/VP Floor Lamp

Penelope is a floor lamp designed by the Italian designer Domenico Rinaldi and produced by the Fisionarte brand. Lamp made of painted metal, hand-woven painted net and dressed in fire-retardant crocheted fabric.

Penelope takes its name from the weaver of the myth of Odysseus, female symbol of intelligence, patience, dexterity and astute adaptability to the changeability of events, capable of regenerating and maintaining the spirit of the house; born as the evolution of the carpet that becomes light, it is more than a simple piece of furniture, in fact in the functionality of contemporary living it represents an element capable of decorating, furnishing and defining the spaces of our everyday life, and at the same time stimulating the senses and tell stories of very ancient origins. Produced in a single version, naked or dressed, it brings the tactility of a handcrafted object into the home, and with it the unrepeatability of a product made entirely by hand, the result of handed down wisdom – at the same time simple and rich in history which resides in the technique of crochet weaving.
