A cordless miniature friction joint enables full 360 rotation, delivering seamless adjustability without visible connections. Engineered for adaptable use, it shifts easily from wide, ambient workspace illumination to concentrated bedside lighting. Created through a close collaboration between Dirk Winkel and Wstberg, W225 Ion reflects the brands core philosophyreuniting aesthetics and engineering through thoughtful reduction. Winkels approach, often influenced by German design rationalism, emphasizes purpose over gesture. The lamp is a result of extensive research into the evolution of light mechanics, culminating in a product of quiet innovation. Since its founding in Helsingborg in 2008, Wstberg has collaborated with leading designers and received over 50 international awards. Its products, including the W225 Ion, are represented in homes, institutions, and design collections worldwide.
